Context
VMTEK is Juan Alvarez’s personal brand for his professional practice in software engineering, automation, and integrations. The website organizes that offering and provides an entry point for inquiries and technology assessments.
Problem
The service presentation needed to explain which problems could be addressed and how to start an engagement, including when an organization has not yet defined a solution.
Constraints
Every initiative has existing resources, processes, and tools. The website must distinguish the service offering from completed projects and avoid attributing outcomes without evidence.
Hypothesis
Connecting operational needs to specific services and an inquiry flow helps establish a starting point before proposing an implementation.
Solution
The deliverable is a Spanish and English website presenting digitization, automation, process assessment, custom software, artificial intelligence, and ongoing technology support as service areas. It organizes engagement into assessment and strategy, projects and implementation, and ongoing support.
Architecture
The site uses Next.js, React, and TypeScript to combine presentation sections, a translated service catalog, and a contact form. Service links preselect the inquiry topic. The form shares validation with the API, which forwards requests to a configurable webhook and provides confirmation and error states.
Process
The journey connects service exploration to engagement options and a description of the challenge. The form collects a name, email, and inquiry context, with optional company and service fields. The professional role covers technical leadership, architecture, development, and product strategy.
Results and validation
The implementation includes the bilingual presentation, service selection, and contact flow with client and server validation. Receiving inquiries requires a configured destination webhook. Outcomes from professional services are documented separately in their respective case studies.
Lessons
Separating the service presentation from execution evidence prevents a capability catalog from becoming a list of claimed outcomes. Receiving inquiries also requires explicit error states and delivery confirmations.
Next steps
Consolidate the professional practice, develop independent products, and document solutions to specific business problems, with verifiable scope and outcomes in each case.
